For Christin Eide, photography isn’t just a career—it’s a calling that began with a background in graphic design and evolved into something far greater. “Putting myself through photography school was one of the best decisions of my life,” she shares warmly. “Every wedding gives me a chance to step into a couple’s world, to understand what matters most to them, and to preserve it in a way that feels both honest and unforgettable.”
Her journey has taken her across continents, where she’s witnessed love in some of the most extraordinary settings on Earth. “I’ve stood on Norway’s majestic mountains, chased the shifting light across Iceland’s otherworldly terrain, and witnessed vows exchanged against the elegant views of Italy,” she recalls. “Each place carries its own raw poetry, and each couple adds a new layer of meaning to it.”
When asked to describe her photography, Christin smiles: “My style blends the timeless with the adventurous. I want my images to honor the gravity of a wedding day while celebrating the unguarded moments full of energy and joy.”
The balance she creates between elegance and spontaneity gives her work a distinctive signature. Every photo feels alive—more than just a visual memory, but a visceral echo of what the day felt like.
Christin’s creative toolkit includes dual Sony A7RV cameras, a drone, and even a Super 8 camera, which she uses to bring a nostalgic cinematic touch to select moments. “I’ve made my own presets, which I tweak for every session,” she explains. “But honestly, I do most of the work in-camera. It’s about understanding the light, the rhythm, and the emotion before you even press the shutter.”
Beyond her technical mastery, Christin’s secret lies in how she connects with people. “I meet all my couples as an equal—with an open heart, curiosity, and a good mood to last for days,” she says with a laugh. This approach helps her create a space where couples can relax and simply be themselves.
Her clients often describe the experience as effortless and fun—an extension of the celebration rather than a photoshoot. “Meeting amazing people is what I enjoy most about being a photographer,” she adds.
The connections we build often last far beyond the wedding day.
Every wedding is unique, and Christin ensures her services reflect that individuality. “Most of my couples need custom-made packages, so yes, I absolutely create them,” she says. Her flexible approach allows couples to design their dream coverage, whether it’s an intimate elopement on a mountain ridge or a grand destination wedding by the sea.
Looking back on her career, Christin offers heartfelt advice for those starting out: “Work hard, keep an open mind, and always keep exploring.” It’s this curiosity and hunger for discovery that keeps her evolving, both as an artist and as a person.
She also shares wisdom for couples preparing for their big day: “Embrace your day to the fullest. I have yet to see a wedding that went fully according to plan, but that’s what makes it memorable.”
Though she travels the world capturing love stories, Norway remains her soul’s home. “Norway is where my heart is,” she admits.
But if I had to pick a favorite destination, it’s probably Italy. There’s something about the light, the food, the music—it’s pure romance.
