“I’ve been a wedding planner for 10 years now, and it all started when I got engaged and planned my own wedding,” Svatby podle Adély begins, her voice warm with nostalgia. With years of experience organizing international events and exhibitions, she quickly realized that she could bring her own vision to life better than anyone else. “No one could understand my vision better than I could myself — so I decided to create my own perfect day,” she recalls.

The success of her own wedding unexpectedly set the course for a new chapter.

The outcome and the photos were so amazing that it immediately launched my career as a wedding planner.

Adéla studied visual communication and has always been surrounded by creativity. “I draw, paint, and have been surrounded by art throughout my life,” she says. But alongside her artistic spirit lies a deep sense of grounding — “I feel an incredible love for my home and my family, who are central to who I am.”

Her first wedding under Svatby podle Adély was a bold debut. “It was for a bride who loved black,” she smiles. “At the time, stripes were very trendy, and her wedding was bold, expressive, and truly unique — a design I’ve never repeated since.” That creative fearlessness still defines her work today. “It was a wonderfully unconventional start that perfectly reflects my approach: creative, personalized, and always designed to reflect the couple’s individuality.”

A Philosophy Rooted in Connection

The heart of Svatby podle Adély lies in its personal philosophy. “The right couples find me, and together we create something that feels naturally aligned with who they are,” Adéla explains. For her, true collaboration begins with trust and chemistry.

I believe in true connection — when we click with a couple, we can craft weddings that are personal, heartfelt, and entirely authentic.

Her work is deeply design-driven, shaped by her artistic background and love for visual storytelling. “I specialize in design-driven weddings that combine creativity, artistry, and deep, immersive experiences for both the couple and their guests,” she shares. “From music and scents to visual design and curated artistic moments, every detail is thoughtfully crafted to celebrate love and create memories that resonate on every level.”

For Adéla, planning a wedding isn’t about following trends — it’s about creating something meaningful. “I love that wedding planning brings together three things I love most in life: love, creativity, and putting my hyper-organized, slightly OCD, perfectionist tendencies (thanks, ADHD!) to good use,” she laughs. “It’s a unique combination that allows me to create beautiful, meaningful, and unforgettable weddings.”

Bespoke Experiences, Tailored with Heart

At Svatby podle Adély, there are no pre-made packages — everything is custom-made. “All of my services are always tailored individually to each couple,” Adéla explains. “In principle, I offer one type of service: full-service wedding planning, providing truly exclusive care to ensure every detail is executed perfectly.”

But within that framework, her clients enjoy complete flexibility. “There are a variety of optional extras available, depending on the couple’s wishes — whether it’s accompanying the bride on a special trip, coordinating pre- or post-wedding events, or any other personalized service to enhance the experience,” she adds. Her approach ensures that every celebration feels effortless yet deeply personal. “Every element is designed to make the wedding seamless, memorable, and perfectly suited to the couple.”

Creating Unforgettable Moments

When asked which weddings have stayed with her the most, Adéla takes a moment to reflect. “When people ask me which wedding I remember the most, it’s never an easy question – every wedding carries its own story and emotion,” she admits.

But two weddings hold a special place in her heart. “The very first one I ever planned will always stay with me,” she says softly. “It was where everything began – full of excitement, nerves, and that unique energy you only experience once.”

Then there was the wedding that tested the limits of creativity. “We built something truly monumental — a 20-meter aisle leading to a wedding arch that stood 3.3 meters high with an 8-meter base, all covered in an incredible floral installation,” she recalls proudly. “It was an honor to bring this trend here and show people what was possible.”

The details were breathtaking. “Peonies were the soul of that day – in the flowers, in the stationery, at the ceremony space, even as bridesmaids’ gifts. Everything spoke the same language,” Adéla says. “It was not just an event but a complete experience from beginning to end.”

A Collaborative Process

For Adéla, successful weddings are built on communication and understanding. “When working with my clients, I approach every wedding with care and attentiveness,” she explains. “I make it a priority to truly listen, understand their vision, and share my professional perspective.”

She often finds herself helping couples dream even bigger. “I suggest ideas they might not have even imagined themselves,” she says. “In the end, this means they experience a celebration that feels uniquely theirs, leaving them even more delighted and confident that every detail reflects who they truly are.”

The Magic of Château Mcely

Among the many breathtaking venues in the Czech Republic, one stands out for Adéla. “I most often plan weddings at four of the most beautiful châteaux around Prague, but Château Mcely stands out above the rest,” she shares. “Their service is exceptional, and through our collaboration, I have the honor of designing bespoke weddings for their most discerning clients.”

She smiles when describing the venue. “There is something truly magical about the château — its atmosphere, its charm, and its exquisite cuisine always draw me back.” Her long-standing relationship with the property has allowed her to design some of her most refined weddings. “Because of this close relationship and the opportunity to create truly personalized wedding designs, Château Mcely is the venue where I find myself working most frequently.”

Lessons and Challenges

Over the years, Adéla has seen it all — and handled every situation with grace. “In the past, I’ve faced many unexpected challenges while planning weddings — from a groom who wanted a live elephant at Château Mcely, to sudden bad weather turning into a mini-hurricane, to broken cakes that I managed to fix so perfectly that no one could ever tell,” she recalls with a laugh.

She also remembers a particularly stressful moment. “I’ve even helped a bride whose dress hadn’t been tried on for six months, only to realize on her wedding day that it didn’t fit, and we had to find a seamstress to make last-minute alterations within an hour.”

But her biggest lesson wasn’t about logistics — it was about mindset. “The greatest challenge of all wasn’t any of these situations — it was learning to stay calm and composed no matter what,” she reflects. “That inner calm, developed through experience, is now one of my greatest strengths. In truth, the biggest challenge is often the one we carry within ourselves, and mastering it allows me to handle even the most unexpected moments with confidence and grace.”

Finding Balance and Purpose

When it comes to managing budgets, Adéla takes a thoughtful approach. “We identify what matters most to them on their wedding day,” she explains. “For some, it’s the design; for others, the entertainment, food, or drinks.” Once the priorities are clear, she channels the investment wisely.

That’s where we focus the majority of the budget. Everything else is carefully balanced — we find more cost-effective solutions that don’t compromise the overall vision.

Her advice to couples is simple yet powerful: “Don’t rely on what you see on social media. Beautiful design is everywhere, but what truly matters are experience and expertise. Choose your wedding planner with your heart, with an eye for design, and above all, with the experience you will need to navigate the planning journey smoothly and confidently.”

Words of Wisdom

If she could speak to her younger self, Adéla’s advice would be filled with warmth. “Trust yourself more and put your whole heart into everything you do,” she says. “Don’t be afraid to aim high — the limits are only in your head, and you really can achieve what you dream of.”

And she adds one last, deeply personal note: “You are great, and please don’t give up drawing and painting. Don’t forget kindness and humility.”

The Dream Beyond

Adéla’s eyes light up when she speaks of her dream venue. “I adore the beauty and grandeur of luxurious châteaux in Italy and France,” she says. “But if I were to choose just one truly special place, it would have to be something extraordinary—like The Met in New York, the Detroit Institute of Arts, or another remarkable art museum or gallery.”

For Adéla, such venues are where love meets culture. “Art is very close to my heart,” she explains. “I can easily imagine how breathtaking it would be for guests to be surrounded by masterpieces, having the museum or gallery entirely to themselves.”

She smiles softly.

That vision of celebrating in a space filled with history, culture, and creativity feels both deeply personal and unforgettable.”

Svatby podle Adély isn’t just a wedding planning brand — it’s an artistic experience, a balance of structure and soul, of heart and precision. Through Adéla Maříková’s eyes, love becomes art — timeless, emotional, and beautifully alive.
