For Elizaveta Volkhina, founder of Brilliant Wedding, wedding planning isn’t just a career — it’s a calling.
“I am originally from Russia, but for the past thirteen years, I have made Prague, Czech Republic, my home,” she begins warmly. “My journey into wedding planning began a few years ago and has since grown into a true vocation. What started as a spark of inspiration has evolved into an international career, dedicated to creating meaningful and beautifully curated celebrations.”
That spark first ignited in 2019, during a wedding that would change the course of her life.
My path was inspired when I attended the very first wedding of my life — that of my close friend in Montenegro, where I had the honor of standing as her bridesmaid. The ceremony took place at sunset, overlooking the sea, and the beauty and emotion of that moment left a profound impression on me.
Returning to Prague, Elizaveta felt a deep pull to transform that feeling into her own craft. She began training under experienced planners and immersing herself in the nuances of wedding design and coordination. “The onset of the pandemic in 2020 gave me the opportunity to dedicate an entire year to study,” she recalls. “When restrictions eased, I was entrusted with my first weddings — and those early couples recommended me within their circles. That’s how my journey truly began.”
Since those first steps, Brilliant Wedding has become synonymous with elegant, heartfelt celebrations that transcend borders.
“In a relatively short time, I have had the privilege of creating weddings in the Czech Republic as well as internationally — in Santorini, Greece, and Croatia,” she shares with pride. “Today, my team and I are expanding into new destinations, such as Doha, Qatar, with the vision of offering our services worldwide.”
Elizaveta’s work is fueled by the joy of bringing a couple’s vision to life. “What I love most is taking a couple’s wishes and, together with my ideas, transforming them into a living reality,” she explains. “Creating a wedding day that they and their guests will remember forever and cherish for years to come.”
Every Brilliant Wedding celebration begins with an idea — a concept that grows into something extraordinary. “Our philosophy is to create weddings that reflect each couple’s unique vision,” Elizaveta says. “We carefully design every detail, from atmosphere to setting, so that the celebration feels both personal and unforgettable. For us, it’s not just about organizing a wedding, but about telling the couple’s story through the event itself.”
While every wedding is special, destination weddings hold a particular place in her heart.
“I truly love every wedding we create, as each one is special in its own way,” she smiles. “At the same time, we are currently especially inspired by destination weddings. They allow us to craft unique experiences in breathtaking locations and give couples and their guests memories that will last a lifetime.”

“We provide full-service wedding planning, accompanying our couples from the very first idea to the final moment of their celebration,” Elizaveta explains.
From budget planning and venue selection to concept design, styling, and day-of coordination — every detail is handled with precision and care. All communication with vendors flows directly through us, so our couples can simply approve key decisions and enjoy the process without stress.
Each package is fully tailored, ensuring that no two weddings ever look alike. “Our packages are bespoke, tailored to the chosen destination, guest count, and celebration format — whether it’s an intimate one-day wedding or a multi-day event abroad,” she notes. “In the Czech Republic, we offer three standard packages based on guest count: up to 50, 50–80, and over 80 guests.”
Elizaveta’s process begins with listening. “My approach starts with truly understanding the couple’s vision, their style, and the atmosphere they dream of for their wedding day,” she explains. “From there, I translate their wishes into a clear concept, blending their ideas with my expertise and creative direction. Throughout the process, I maintain open communication and guide them step by step, ensuring that every detail is curated with precision.”
When asked about challenges, she recalls one particularly memorable experience: “One of the most challenging situations I faced was organizing a wedding just three weeks before the celebration date,” she says with a smile. “It was intense, but seeing the couple’s joy made every sleepless night worth it.”
Every Brilliant Wedding experience is guided by honesty and clarity. “Our rates vary depending on the scale, location, and level of service required, as every wedding we create is fully bespoke,” Elizaveta explains.
She also emphasizes the importance of mindful budgeting. “From the very beginning, we create a clear and realistic budget structure, tailored to the couple’s priorities,” she says. “Because all communication with vendors flows through us, we are able to negotiate effectively, avoid unnecessary expenses, and ensure transparency at every stage. My main advice is to focus on what truly matters to you as a couple — highlight those elements that will make your day unforgettable.”
For couples planning their weddings, Elizaveta’s advice is heartfelt and simple:
“Remember that your wedding is, above all, a reflection of your love story. Focus on what feels authentic to you as a couple, rather than following trends or outside expectations. Surround yourselves with professionals you can trust, so you can truly enjoy the journey without unnecessary stress. And most importantly — embrace the process with joy, knowing that the day itself will be even more beautiful than you imagined.”
And for those starting out in the industry, she offers words of wisdom born from experience:
I would tell myself to trust the process and not be afraid to start, even if everything doesn’t feel perfect yet. Every wedding, every couple, and every challenge becomes part of your growth and shapes your style. I would also remind myself to value my time and creativity, to build strong relationships with reliable partners, and to always stay true to my vision.
As Brilliant Wedding continues to expand its horizons, Elizaveta’s dreams are boundless. “I don’t have one specific dream venue, as I am open to the entire world,” she says with a serene smile. “There are so many breathtaking countries and locations where I would love to create a truly unforgettable celebration.”
